Our registrar, Deanna Kangas, has been serving as registrar since 2017 and will be stepping away from her position at the end of this year. We need another parent to step into this role. Ideally, we would love to find someone to work with her during the Early Registration process into the General Registration, and then take over once we break for summer.
What does the registrar do?
The registrar position is a work exchange where credit is earned and applied toward tuition fees.
The registrar works closely with the Board and teachers to communicate our class offerings to homeschooling families and to help create a schedule that works for most. Together they work to meet each registered family’s needs for their highest priority classes, while maximizing the number of students we can serve.
While our registration is online, the registrar creates the forms and spreadsheets, communicates with families and teachers via email/phone/text – always with kindness and professionalism, and initiates the schedule making process.
The registrar is a representative of Achieve Learning Center, and they are often the first person to interact with families as they begin the registration process.
How do I know if I qualify?
Are you planning to have your child(ren) attend a class or two (or more) at Achieve for the forseeable future?
Do you love to share about Achieve with other homeschooling families?
Do you love computers, spreadsheets, registration forms, and puzzles?
Are you familiar with Google Docs, Sheets, Forms, etc or the Microsoft equivalent: Excel, Word, etc.?
Do you enjoy problem solving? Are you not satisfied until all options have been exhausted?
If you love a good challenge, this is for you!
