As we wrap up the ’23-’24 school year, we again thank our God for His provision and abundance. Staff and board have often mentioned what a blessed year we’re experiencing and know exactly Who’s behind it!

Our staff is our bedrock and this year, four of these wonderful folks will be moving on:

Dr. Doug Mangum. Dr. M has taught history and Latin for a number of years, all while working a fulltime job elsewhere. We value his commitment to us but certainly understand the need to focus on a single job. Thankfully, he’ll remain on our board.

Elizabeth Hanson taught economics this year. Her passion for teaching about all things money has been a blessing. She will put her time into her other interests like teaching Japanese, hosting and caring for dogs.

Kimberlee Terry made math make sense for a lot of students. With her warm approach and ever-present smile, she’s made her mark here. We won’t soon forget her birthday acknowledgments, complete with mini castanets. The Terry family will be moving to TN in order for her husband to take a position teaching at a college.

Bethany Pellerin exudes ebullience. Her love for her students is obvious and she goes the extra mile to make her classes engaging. As a long time supporter of ALC, Mrs. Pellerin has impacted us mightily, most recently building our Young Explorers program. To her we’re forever grateful. She will spend much of next year tending to family members but she remains in our corner for years to come.

We thank God for the influence each of these precious people has had on our lives. Our official goodbye happens at lunch on May 21st, but you can also share your thanks at our bbq on the May 30th.
